Usually I defer to the genius that is J. Crew, but in this instance I simply don't understand what is going on with these pants!?! They are awful...I am not sure what would possess someone to design, create, or purchase these l'il monsters. Does anyone like these? Does anyone own these? Can you send a picture of your self in them? If I am wrong and these are somehow a workable clothing item- I will be the first to admit it- but as of this moment I just don't get it!!!
I suppose one terrible item in the midst of the brilliance that is their Navy and white theme is 110% forgivable, but I am always so surprised to see stuff that doesn't seem to fit.
In any event, I wanted to share and get some of your feedback.

I wouldn't buy them for myself, but I could see how someone else might like them . . . but not regular J. Crew shoppers. Definitely out of character.
Yeah, I wonder that too. It seems like they're good for a snafu or two each season... like the sequin stuff last season, who bought that?!?
I agree, some of the stuff this season (including these pants) are questionable...especially some of the shoes!!
They look like clown pants. What would you wear with them?
Those are so ugly! Cant believe they're j crew!!!!
totally agree - these are crazy little clam diggers that no one should be caught in.
Yeck! Kickback to the 80s or something...even a 100 lb. model wouldn't look good in those kaleidescope-gone-wrong pants!
Hmmm... you're right. Those are a complete departure. Usually they are so dead on, but even the powers that be at J Crew get it wrong from time to time.
Strange! And I just got my new catalog today and it's weird too. Looks like it should be the cover for Metropolitan Home, not JCrew.
Wow...those remind me of the wallpaper from the bathroom of my old pediatrician's office. Did I mention that I saw said pediatrician back in the mid-70s? Yowza. MAYBE on someone really young, with a plain white t and a denim jacket and cute flats????? Hmmmm.
Yikes. Those pants seems very 60s...and not in the good Jackie way!
