If you live in the Chicagoland area- chances are you don't care about having a White Christmas anymore- you are sick of the stuff already! (the above picture is from the Internet- I didn't take it, i took it from here- http://www.crh.noaa.gov/Image/lot/27772566.jpg)
I am including some winter wonderland shots from around our house
Hopefully you didn't have to venture out much on Friday! My office was closed due to the weather, so I stayed inside virtually all day doing nothing much at all. I managed to get a little work done, but spent the morning lounging with Big Guy watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It was a nice and lazy day- followed by a hectic Saturday gift hunting for Big Guy's family and a very cold Sunday. Big Guy Shoveled the back of the house near the garage and little paths to the door at least once a day! I think the novelty of the whole " it is winter, I am a man and I will shovel my land," thing has worn off. Poor thing.
On another note, Big Guy has expressed some interest in slimming down, and I have been trying to help him think of ways to do this. Unfortunately, a gym membership isn't really in the budget right now, and he has never been one for running- especially in winter, so we may be limited to the whole jumping jacks, sit ups and push ups routine, but I wondered if anyone had ideas of healthy lunch options and dinner options for that matter, that might keep him on the right track?
I hope all of you have a nice holiday this week. I am working tomorrow, so I should have one or two more posts in me this week. I am hoping to get some nursery pics and some holiday decor pics up before Thursday.
Happy Holiday to all of you- stay safe and have a wonderful week!

So jealous--our office has never closed due to weather!!
Happy Holidays, MP!
Your house looks adorable with all the snow falling around it. I know what you mean, though, about the snow. Although I don't mind snow in December. I start getting sick of it by the end of January. What I mind is this extreme cold. If we have snow, but it's 33 degrees, I'm OK. I can get out and about. But I cannot move when it's below zero. Stay warm!
For your hubby, I would say stay away from salads without protein. I can't do salads for lunch when dieting unless it has some grilled chicken or sliced lunch meat or something.
Has he thought about WW? I know many men shy away from it but it's perfect because nothing is forbidden - it's all about portions. Plus, men get many more points than women do! Something to think about - you don't have to even go to meetings. He could just do it online. It's like $10 a month, I think (I will be on it once #3 arrives).
HAPPY WEEK YOU TOO!!!
Merry Christmas! Stay warm :)
As for lunch options, I like to make wraps using whole wheat wraps with turkey and some cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc. It's not as heavy or filling as bread and is easy to bring to work...
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
I'm making my blog private after the 1st of the year so I hope you'll stop by and leave me your email address so I can send you an invitation.
