CALL ME CHUNKFEST.....cranky, pouty and fatter than ever

So I have been eating only organic breakfast and lunch since Jan 1, and relatively healthy dinners for a few weeks now- and somehow I have gained 3 lbs since last week!!!! What the heck is going on! seriously. Today I had a pretty weak work out- I walked 25 mins and did a 10 min ab workout, but I had a salad with chicken and a hard boiled egg for dinner- and made the dressing with rice wine, rice wine vinegar and mustard and honey--so it couldn't be that bad for me right? for breakfast I had 200 calorie organic tomato soup and an apple, yogurt and a tablespoon of natural peanut butter as a snack. WHY am I GAINING!!!??? This is so annoying. I have a cruise in may and a class reunion in August-- then my BFF's wedding and then I am supposed to start trying to get pregnant. BUT I CAN"T GET PREGNANT WHILE I AM CHUBBY or I will never be able to get thin after. This might sound petty- but I feel so much better when I am fit... I literally feel better- I wake up early and am less cranky...any ideas are welcome... I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am afraid to weigh in tomorrow!!!

Midwest, I wrote to you on my blog but I'll put part of it here...winter skin and winter fat=no good for trying on cute Spring fashion!! I feel your pain and am going to join WW tomorrow...nervous about it. I have not tips for you, only encouragement. It is hard to lose weight and it sounds like you are taking the right steps, it weird that you are not the only person I've read about gaining weight despite the efforts as weight management!!!

You are just bloated, don't sweat it!!! I think your eating is being great, don't get discouraged, maybe your body is just being a little slow but keep working out, be consistent. I'm right there with you, we even share the same goal (10 lb)

Do you think you might be gaining muscle? Maybe you should try leaving the scale behind for awhile and just seeing how you feel.

This maybe sound weird, but are you making sure you eat enough also, cause sometimes it can actually slow your metabolism down...also, you might just be retaining some water. Especially if you've been eating like you should.

It's always frustrating when you think you are doing everything right and the scale tells you otherwise. There could be many reasons, sodium from the soup, muscle & water retention, TOM, not eating enough, etc. Just keep focused and weigh in a few days, I'm sure it will have moved. Have you tried WW? I LOVE it! I always lose with it and it's easy & fun! Good luck!

Oh, I feel your pain! My SIL sent me some pictures from Hawaii yesterday and I was appalled at how I looked! It sounds like you're at least working toward your goal, while I am just moning about it.

Everyone around me keeps swearing by WW, I am actually considering it.

Probbaly just retaining water. 2 weeks ago the same thing happened to me. I had walked 4 miles everyday for the entire freaking week and had been really good about my WW points...but when I stepped on the scale I was up 2 lbs.!!! I was so discouraged. They told me it was water weight and sure enough my next weigh in was GREAT!!!

Also make sure you are eating enough. If you don't eat enough you will gain...sounds crazy but it true.

Thanks Ladies...I walked 3 miles this aftrnoon and had veggie chili for lunch and a pc of chcolate for a cheat treat- so maybe I can bounce back... I am trying to drink more water- maybe I can flush out my fat!
