Weigh in Wednedsay...on Thursday

So I forgot to post my Weigh in Wednesday yesterday- and I am afraid that this post isn't as inspiring as I would have hoped. I am down a pound- which is nice but I haven't worked out much this week. I have only walked about 5.5 miles total- which I suppose is better than nothing, and I did my 10 minute arm weights routine twice. I have been eating very well- last night I made a miso-glazed salmon that big guy actually liked! Wow - a healthy meal that he actually liked! Unbelievable! I have been having Kashi for breakfast, organic crackers and apples for snacks and organic soup(250 cals for 2 servings) and an apple for lunch and healthy dinners- with rice noodles, broccoli and fish. We are trying to save money at the moment, so I have been pretty low budget this week- inventing meals out a a meager cupboard- but they haven't been too bad! I even made some foccacia bread that turned out very well- not the healthiest choice- but one does need to indulge from time to time. Another trick I discovered was a bowl of frozen raspberries subsituted quite nicely for dessert (rather than sorbet) and provided some comforting hand to mouth mindless eating during movie watching--without the guilt!

Frozen berries are a perfect dessert. I also frozen berries to plain yogurt for breakfast.

Yes! Good job! I love eating fruit for dessert because it fulfills that craving for sugar. It sounds like you are on the right track with healthy eating!

(and men will surprise you sometimes when you place something healthy in front of them, don't they!)

OMG....I am desperately trying to find a way to learn how to eat right and lose some weight, and maybe inspire my hubby as well. He definitely needs to eat healthier, and he definitely needs to lose weight. Unfortunately, he is "allergic" to veggies and he doesn't do fruit. That leaves....meat. The kind that moos or clucks. And cheese. Keep up the good work!

Good job. I weighed Saturday and I had stayed the same. I have really been trying hard this week, but fell off the wagon tonight. I made some vegetable stew Monday morning and have been eating on it all week. I'll eat the last of it for lunch tomorrow. Maybe I'll see some results. I did ride my stationary bicycle for 5 miles Tuesday night, but that was it.

I find that the organic soups are really great- the whole can is usually no more than 250 or 300 calories- and pretty filling- for ,unch it isn't bad and for snack I have been eating Amy's sour cream and onion bunny crackers- you can have 55 crackers for 130 cals! LOVE THEM.
