My Bed

This is what my bedding looks like. It isn't girly, but I suppose it is still preppy. It is made by Ralph Lauren and it is all inspired by classic men's suiting. It has the pinstripe in the duvet cover and shams, the camel coat inspired blanket, The shirting stripe sheets and I even have hounds tooth Euro-shams that are supposedly supposed to represent the pocket square. I love my bedding, and I love that Big Guy really loves it, but it is difficult to decide how to design a room around it. I don't have the bed in the above picture and I honestly think a dark wood or leather would strike a better look. Anyone have any ideas for a wall color or accessories or even some ideas on how to finish the look- I am thinking I could go one of two ways- executive chic or old school gentleman's club. I like the thought of both but wanted to get some feedback.

I.LOVE.IT!!! Paint is extremely personal....I would be afraid to suggest the wrong thing. I'd think of a soft, dove gray wall, maybe.

Old School would be my pick. I think that the executive chic would be a bit hard to be comfortable in. Being pregnant you may want comfort.
Whatever way you go I hope that you enjoy the outcome.

I love it!! It's so hard to find bed linens that aren't overly feminine. I too would vote for old school gentlemen's club. I don't think you can go wrong with that look!

Very nice! Personally, I would go for old school. I think a dark wood headboard and a leather club chair with camel walls would be nice! Enjoy that goregous bedding.

Oh, and perhaps some camel colored print (or solid) pillows and a camel throw to tie it all together.

I really like it and am always tempted to try this look! I gave you an award on my blog today...and I'd love to know a little more about your baby coming!

I think Tres Poshe Preppy has it right, definately camel walls. Take a piece of the bedding to a good paint store. Alot of them have colorist on staff and can help you.

It would be nice to have a comfortable club type chair with side table, lamp etc to hang out
when you are super prego and not really comfortable. Plus when the baby comes and gret place for you or hubs to hold the little one!

LOVE the bedding. And I agree on a dark wood or leather bed... much better than the one in the picture. No genius decor ideas though... maybe some classy black and white prints?
