SO TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!

I have reached new levels of exhaustion! I am so tired and it doesn't look like my work-load is slowing up at all. I honestly don't know if I can keep up the pace until the baby comes, but that is what I need to do to get it all done! Yikes!

This weekend flew by but I managed to get a few things done.
I am still packing my Hospital bag, but made some cute purchases in preparation for the big day.

Along with Shampoo, face wash cloths, toothpaste, body wash and all of that stuff, I wanted to pack a nightshirt or over sized tee-shirt in case I was uncomfortable in the gown that they provide at the hospital. I chose this cute little number because I thought it would look cute, I know it will probably get trashed, and I know that I am probably insane to think it even matters- but whatever. I am prepared in the event that I want something to wear other than that gaping back-drafty gown.

Then for recovery, I figured that my boobs would be huge and I would feel a little self conscious if I had visitors, so I wanted to get something comfy and not revealing. Plus, when I was in the hospital with my false alarm, I was freezing the whole time, so I wanted something that was a little cozy. I got this because it was comfy, big guy liked the yellow, and it has a few buttons to allow for nursing.

Then I picked out a cute little lounge set for when I get home and just need comfy, roomy PJs that don't make me feel ugly.
These two tops coordinate with these pants.

Am I over-thinking all of this? Probably, but I like being overly prepared. The only thing I still need is the going home outfit for the baby. I have one in case he is big- 0-3 months sized, but not if he is newborn sized. I still need to find that- and a diaper bag, and a fitted sheet for the crib. I just want plain white for the fitted, so it shouldn't be too hard. We have about 4 more weeks- unless he comes early which every other person seems to think is going to happen!! Leave me alone people- I know my bump is large. I am short and even shorter-waisted! There is nowhere for this guy to go except straight out and that is what he is doing. I swear from the back you wouldn't know I was pregnant and then when I swing my massive midsection around it comes out of nowhere! Someone actually said they had never seen someone his big...How RUDE!

I am a lurker...Love the pjs!! Especially the cute tops with the pants. I had gotten a really cute set from Motherhood it was a cute short nursing gown with a little robe to go over it andit was cheap and it was wonderful and comfy! I only wore the hospital gown until I had him and then I wanted to be cute so I changed!! I overthought everything too! Except I thought I was going to have a big baby and he ended up needing preemie clothes and I didn't have any!! Don't worry I was huge too!!! Goodluck!!

I don't think you are over thinking the pj's at all!

I have been searching and searching for some cute ones that will work with nursing, but having a hard time finding some.... where did you find all of those cuties?

One thing that I did pick up that you may like is socks that have a little padding on the bottom for traction. They are so comfy and I'll still be able to walk around.

Thanks for sharing!

I am also beginning to think about what to wear while in the hospital... I got the softest t-shirt material robe at Gap Body over the weekend and their yoga pants were on sale for 30% off. I am planning on doing the tank and yoga pants w/ robe combo. Don't forget slippers...

And the people that are saying the rude things about your size must be friends with the people that are saying the same thing to me. Geez...

To answer the question- the blue striped number is Gap Body and the other stuff is from Target. I had to get bigger sizes because the set was juniors, but oh well- I am so pregnant I don't even care. I just got some cozy warm socks from gap that are pink and white striped, and i have a pink robe, but I for sure need slippers or something with traction. Also, I got lilly pads and today I read on one fab mom that they are great- so I am happy :)

It all looks adorable. How about a robe? I bought a nice long terrycloth robe (monogrammed, natch) before my first baby and it was great to have in the hospital. Also, not to get all TMI on you, but pack lots of pads and underwear you don't care about. And that's all I'll say about that.

I also brought a pillow from home because I like my own pillow. And I brought a box of nice chocolates for the L&D nurse's station. Those nurses work their arses off and they deserve it - but give it to them when you first get there instead of when you're leaving! Bribes never hurt anyone.

Good luck!!!!

Cute jammies. You might also pack some snacks and drinks that you're used to, for keeping your strength up during labor.

I'm about 31 weeks with baby 5 and also feel huge and tired. Everything takes extra effort.
Good luck to you!

Cute and thanks for sharing. Here is what I did. I brought yoga pants and zip up sweatshirt both times and thats what I hung out in. It gets cold and easy for feeding. I also brought mules so that I could walk to the bathroom and around the room - I am not really a slipper girl and the floors kindof gross me out. Both my children were small so they swam in their going home outfits so my mom went and got my last child a premie outfit and it fit nicely.

I'm a lurker & I am finally chiming in. I had both my 9 lb babies at Northwestern. I'm sooo excited for you. I don't think you are overthinking the jammies! It's fun to imagine the finish line!!

I am not sure if you are breast feeding, if you are I'm sure you are set. If you are not, 2 sports bras...worn at once all the time.

Bring a few pairs of undies you don't mind tossing. Jammies can get messy too. Don't spend a lot on them. Make sure they are easy to get in & out of. Bring comfy yoga pants. I agree w/some of the other readers that if you have slip on shoes (danskos or uggs or something comfy & easy.

The biggest thing is take the staff up on all the help they offer you while you are there! Rest up. I didn't w/#1 & I did big time w/#2!!

Good luck! It's going to be great! The staff is great & you will have a great delivery!!! :)
